Odgers is partnering with a leading mid-market, full-service law firm headquartered in downtown Toronto is seeking a Director, Information Technology to join their team. The firm has established a strong reputation for delivering practical, business-focused legal advice across a wide range of practice areas. Operating as a single-office platform, the firm combines the sophistication of a full-service practice with an entrepreneurial, collaborative culture. As a member of a global legal network, it offers international reach while maintaining the agility and client-centric focus that underpins its continued success.

The firm is looking for a Director, Information Technology to lead and execute a multi-year technology vision aligned with its strategic growth objectives. Reporting to their Operations leader, this is a highly visible leadership role with a mandate to elevate IT into a proactive, business-enabling function. The successful candidate will oversee a lean team, drive the technology roadmap, and lead key initiatives including CRM implementation, office modernization, and the integration of AI capabilities in partnership with a dedicated AI leader. The role requires balancing innovation with a strong security posture, enhancing productivity across legal and business functions, and bringing structure and discipline to IT service delivery within a dynamic professional services environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT leader with 10+ years of experience, including leadership within a law firm or professional services setting. They bring strong familiarity with modern legal technology stacks (e.g., document management systems, practice management platforms, and cloud environments such as Microsoft 365/Azure), alongside robust cybersecurity and risk management expertise. Equally important is the ability to operate as a trusted advisor—translating technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders, influencing at the partner level, and driving organizational change.
