CreateTO is now seeking a Vice President, Financial Reporting and Planning who will be responsible for the effective oversight of financial analysis & advisory services, controllership, and procurement operations for the agency and its managed corporations, Build Toronto, and Toronto Port Lands Corporation. The Vice President will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. They will drive strategic financial planning, risk management, and performance monitoring, collaborating with senior leadership to optimize capital allocation and enhance business growth. Additionally, they will build and develop a high-performing finance team, foster a forward-thinking culture, and contribute to key Board discussions and stakeholder partnerships.

 

A highly accountable finance executive, this leader brings extensive real estate experience and a CPA designation, offering broad expertise across all facets of the finance function. As Vice President, Financial Reporting and Planning, they will drive strategic financial management and operational excellence while seamlessly pivoting between strategy and execution in a fast-moving, evolving environment. Acting as a trusted partner to the Chief Financial Officer, they will bring a mature, positive presence and the ability to advance multiple initiatives simultaneously. This person will bring over a decade of progressive leadership experience and have expertise in financial controls, reporting, planning, and mergers and acquisitions. With a track record of building and developing high-performing teams, they excel at talent development, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability. They will be highly analytical and business-savvy and able to combine strategic thinking with strong decision-making skills, effectively communicating financial insights to senior leadership, Board Committees, and external stakeholders.
